What are the Neuro Recall ingredients?
Neuro Recall has two parts. A vitamin and mineral base comes with exact amounts. A 635 mg blend of ten herbs and nutrients comes as one total. Four blend items have their own pages: ginkgo biloba, bacopa monnieri, berberine and green tea extract. The other six are covered further down this page.

Two details stand out. The capsule shell is gelatin, so the product is not vegetarian. The bilberry line prints a blueberry plant name, covered below. The full panel is explained line by line on our Supplement Facts page.
Vitamins and minerals: exact amounts per serving
These four have printed amounts, so you can check them against your other supplements. B12 is the standout at 100 times the adult need.
| Nutrient | Per serving | % Daily Value | What to know |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vitamin B12 | 240 mcg | 10,000% | The adult RDA is 2.4 mcg. A low B12 level can cause memory problems; extra B12 is not shown to help people who already get enough. (NIH ODS, Vitamin B12) |
| Folate | 600 mcg DFE (320 mcg folic acid) | 150% | Under the 1,000 mcg folic acid upper limit, but count other supplements and fortified foods too. (NIH ODS, Folate) |
| Magnesium | 250 mg (oxide) | 60% | The upper limit from supplements is 350 mg a day. Too much can cause diarrhea. (NIH ODS, Magnesium) |
| Chromium | 120 mcg (picolinate) | 343% | May lower blood sugar with insulin or diabetes medicines. (NIH ODS, Chromium) |
How much of each blend ingredient is in a serving?
Only the 635 mg total is printed. U.S. rules allow that if the blend lists items heaviest first (21 CFR 101.36). So the item in position n can weigh no more than 635 divided by n.
- Cinnamon Bark Extract At least 63.5 mg
- Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Extract Up to 317.5 mg
- Bilberry Fruit Extract Up to 211.7 mg
- Bacopa Monnieri Extract Up to 158.8 mg
- Green Tea Leaf Extract Up to 127 mg
- Berberine HCl Up to 105.8 mg
- L-Theanine Up to 90.7 mg
- Alpha Lipoic Acid Up to 79.4 mg
- GPC Choline (Alpha-GPC) Up to 70.6 mg
- Lutein & Zeaxanthin Up to 63.5 mg
Honest note: how the amounts compare with research doses
Ten items in 635 mg means most are small. Bacopa can be half the studied dose at most. Ginkgo may reach the trial dose, but the large trial found no drop in dementia. No trial of Neuro Recall itself is published. Sleep, activity and blood pressure control have stronger evidence.
| Ingredient | Neuro Recall (per serving) | Doses used in studies | Gap | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cinnamon Bark Extract | 63.5-635 mg (share of blend) | No dose shown to help a condition | Not comparable | (NCCIH, Cinnamon) |
| Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Extract | Up to 317.5 mg | 240 mg a day (120 mg twice daily) in GEM | Could match; no dementia benefit found | (Snitz et al., JAMA 2009) |
| Bilberry Fruit Extract | Up to 211.7 mg | Up to 160 mg a day was well tolerated | Not a memory dose | (NCCIH, Bilberry) |
| Bacopa Monnieri Extract | Up to 158.8 mg | About 300 mg a day for 12+ weeks | About half at most | (Kongkeaw et al., 2014) |
| Green Tea Leaf Extract | Up to 127 mg | No memory dose established | Not comparable | (NCCIH, Green tea) |
| Berberine HCl | Up to 105.8 mg | Studied mainly for blood sugar | Not a memory ingredient | (MSKCC, Berberine) |
| L-Theanine | Up to 90.7 mg | Limited human data | Unclear | (MSKCC, L-theanine) |
| Alpha Lipoic Acid | Up to 79.4 mg | Studied mainly for blood sugar and nerves | Not a memory ingredient | (MSKCC, Alpha-lipoic acid) |
| GPC Choline (Alpha-GPC) | Up to 70.6 mg | Benefit for healthy adults unclear | Unclear | (WebMD, Alpha-GPC) |
| Lutein & Zeaxanthin | Up to 63.5 mg combined | 10 mg + 2 mg a day in an eye study | Eye study, not memory | (NEI, AREDS and AREDS2) |
Bacopa monnieriAbout half at most
Ginkgo bilobaDose not the problem
The big ginkgo trial used 240 mg a day for about 6 years and still found no drop in dementia. (Snitz et al., JAMA 2009)
Vitamin B12100x the RDA
240 mcg is 100 times the 2.4 mcg adults need. It helps if you are low; extra is not shown to boost memory. (NIH ODS, Vitamin B12)
Whole blend635 mg for 10 items
Ten herbs and nutrients share 635 mg, so most can only be present in small amounts. (21 CFR 101.36)
Cinnamon bark extract: the largest share
This is an extract of bark from Cinnamomum trees. The label does not name the species. It is listed first, so it holds at least 63.5 mg and could be much of the blend.
Research does not clearly support cinnamon for any health condition (NCCIH, Cinnamon). Cassia cinnamon holds coumarin, which is linked to liver effects. With liver disease or diabetes medicine, ask your doctor first.
Bilberry fruit extract, or is it blueberry?
The label says bilberry but prints the plant name Vaccinium cyanococcus. That name usually means blueberry. Third in the blend, it is at most 211.7 mg.
Bilberry has not been clearly shown to help any condition (NCCIH, Bilberry). Fruit extracts up to 160 mg a day for up to 6 months were well tolerated.
L-theanine: the tea amino acid
L-theanine is an amino acid found in tea leaves. Seventh in the blend, it is at most 90.7 mg.
Human data are limited, and small studies looked at calm and sleep (MSKCC, L-theanine). It may add to drowsiness from sedatives or sleep pills, so ask first if you take them.
Alpha lipoic acid: an antioxidant
Alpha lipoic acid is printed “Alpa” on the label. Eighth in the blend, it is at most 79.4 mg.
It is studied mainly for blood sugar and nerves, not memory. It can lower blood sugar and add to diabetes medicines (MSKCC, Alpha-lipoic acid). Nausea is a possible side effect.
Alpha-GPC: a choline source
The label calls it GPC Choline. It is a form of choline, ninth in the blend, so at most 70.6 mg.
Benefits for healthy adults are unclear, and stomach upset is reported (WebMD, Alpha-GPC). Some research links long-term use to a higher stroke risk, so ask your doctor if you have stroke risk factors.
Lutein and zeaxanthin: eye nutrients
These two carotenoids come from marigold flower extract. They are last in the blend, so together they are at most 63.5 mg.
Their main research is an eye study. It used 10 mg lutein and 2 mg zeaxanthin a day in people with macular degeneration (NEI, AREDS and AREDS2). That trial looked at eyes, not memory. The general label warnings apply.
Who should check with a doctor first?
- Pregnant or nursing: the label says do not use
- Blood thinners, aspirin or surgery coming up (ginkgo)
- Diabetes medicine (chromium, berberine, alpha lipoic acid, cinnamon)
- Transplant drugs or other prescriptions (berberine)
- Liver disease (green tea extract, cassia cinnamon) or thyroid medicine (chromium)
Every caution is gathered on our side effects page.
Neuro Recall ingredients FAQ: questions people ask
What are the ingredients in Neuro Recall?
Each 2-capsule serving lists vitamin B12, folate, magnesium and chromium, plus a 635 mg blend. The blend holds cinnamon, ginkgo, bilberry, bacopa, green tea extract, berberine, L-theanine, alpha lipoic acid, alpha-GPC, and lutein with zeaxanthin.
How much ginkgo is in Neuro Recall?
No more than 317.5 mg per serving. Ginkgo is second of ten in a 635 mg blend, so label order caps it there. The real amount is not printed.
How much bacopa is in Neuro Recall?
No more than about 159 mg per serving, because bacopa is fourth in the blend. Trials mostly used about 300 mg a day, so this is half of that at most.
Is Neuro Recall vegetarian?
No. The capsule is made of BSE-free gelatin, which comes from animals. Rice flour, silicon dioxide and magnesium stearate are the other non-active ingredients.
Is the berry in Neuro Recall bilberry or blueberry?
The label says bilberry but prints the plant name Vaccinium cyanococcus. That name usually refers to blueberry. Either way, neither berry has clear evidence for memory.
Which Neuro Recall ingredients can lower blood sugar?
Chromium, berberine and alpha lipoic acid can lower blood sugar, and cinnamon is also on the list to check. If you take insulin, metformin or other diabetes medicine, ask your doctor first.
Does Neuro Recall have ingredients that interact with blood thinners?
Yes. Ginkgo may raise bleeding risk when taken with warfarin or other blood thinners. Ask your doctor before you start, and tell your surgeon before any operation.
Are the Neuro Recall ingredients proven to help memory?
No. No trial of Neuro Recall itself has been published. Ginkgo did not prevent dementia in a 6-year trial, and bacopa showed small gains in attention speed at about twice the dose this blend can hold.
Does Neuro Recall contain caffeine?
Caffeine is not listed on the label. Green tea extract is in the blend, and the label does not say whether it is decaffeinated, so ask the order desk if you avoid caffeine.
Ready to try Neuro Recall?
